On this page you will find out what you can expect when you become part of the ShamPooch family. Everything from our initial phone call all the way to check out, find out how to make the most of your dogs appointment.
Booking
You can book an appointment by calling/ texting
709 - 770 - 4699 or by filling out the form in the "Contact" section.
We will e-mail or text you a link to fill out our "New Client Information and Release Form". When it has been submitted we will find a day and time that works best for you to get your pup in for a groom!
Our appointments are set to a One-on-One schedule. This means your dogs groom will be started as soon as they arrive and will be done straight through. We will give you a call or text 15 minutes before they are ready for pick up.
We ask that your dog be up to date on their vaccinations and intact females not be in heat at the time of their appointment.
Drop Off
We kindly ask you to potty your dog before arrival and that they be secured with a proper fitting collar/ harness and leash.
*Please no flexi / retractable leashes*
Upon arrival we will discuss any special details pertaining to your dogs health and behaviour.
We will then give your dog a thorough check over while we discuss your grooming goals. An artist is as only good as their canvas, which means if your dog is free of any matting then we can choose any hair style for your pup. However, if there is extensive matting, it may be suggested to start over with a fresh clean shave.

We will always do our best to keep your pup as calm as possible and maintain a stress free groom.
Pick Up
When your pup is just about ready, we will give you a call or text to let you know to start heading back. Since ShamPooch is a cage free facility, we do ask you to return at the designated pick up time to avoid any appointment overlaps.
We want you to take a good look at your pooch and let us know if there is anything that you would like touched up. If your pup will allow it, we will make the correction right away, however sometimes they are too excited to see you and we may need you to come back at a later time to complete the touch up safely.
Your dogs health and safety is always our number one priority, meaning we will disclose any issues that we may find during your pups groom. This could be a lump, skin irritation, suspected infections or any lameness. We also want you to let us know if you find anything of concern either before or after the groom.
We always recommend booking your next appointment right away to keep your pup on a proper maintenance schedule and to secure your desired date and time.
